Copyright protection of texts, photographs, advertising graphics, products etc. comes as a direct consequence of work created demonstrating an appropriate degree of individuality. Even outside the domains of Literature and Art, companies are thus increasingly faced with copyright-related questions, either when collecting their own copyright-protected creative works or as users of creative works (e.g. as advertisers).
We assist in all matters relating to copyright protection, i.e. drawing up agreements relating to the collection of your own creative work, the safeguarding of rights of utilisation (e.g. to a logo designed by a third party), copyright regulation in employment contracts etc.
Deeds of Assignment, Licensing Agreements and Settlement Agreements
Copyrights or individual authorisations under copyright law can be assigned in Switzerland and abroad. We assist in preparing and acquiring the necessary agreements and other documents.
If you wish to assign rights to copyright-protected works to third parties or if you wish to be granted entitlement to corresponding rights, we draw up the necessary licensing agreements.
Copyright-related conflicts can often be resolved by reaching a settlement and we assist in negotiating these types of agreement.
Legal Disputes
If third parties infringe copyrights or associated agreements or if you are alleged to have committed a corresponding infringement, we will litigate on your behalf before the public ordinary courts and at any arbitration tribunals.
